Jamie can exonerate Deepak

Jamie Skeeters would tell Angelina that he had the ability to help exonerate Deepak and his brother. Since they were still considered suspects in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway this help seemed at the time something to consider.

Even though Jamie Skeeters was aware that Deepak and his brother were represented by legal counsel he still requested the opportunity to interview them. He was denied these requests. In spite of the fact that Deepak's lawyers told Skeeters that any interviews were not authorized, Jamie Skeeters nevertheless proceeded and still made contact with Deepak Kalpoe, without the permission of said legal counsel.

During the first introductory meeting of Deepak and Jamie, Angelina was present. However during the two hour "big meeting," Angelina was not present. This two hour meeting would occur during the early morning hours in late August 2005, and take place in Jamie Skeeter's hotel room.

Unknown to Deepak Kalpoe at the time of the meeting, there would be a hidden recorder and video taping device also hidden in the hotel room. Deepak Kalpoe never consented to have this meeting recorded or videotaped. Jamie Skeeters was specifically notified prior to this meeting by Deepak Kalpoe that there would be no authorization to record or videotape their conversation.

Throughout this meeting Jamie Skeeters would repeatedly attempt to convince Deepak to take a polygraph test, and also encourage him to consent to appearing on the Dr. Phil show. This show Skeeters said would be devoted to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. You will be able to hear Jamie Skeeters emphasize how much Phil Mc Graw, with all of his money, prestige and influence, would be able to help Deepak and Satish. He referred to "Phil" as "a god," who had the ability to "influence a country." He also said that Phil was honest, sincere, trustworthy and would never screw a person over. Interesting, about the trust and honesty, since at the time Skeeters was recording and videotaping and basically screwing Deepak over.

Deepak would feel during the meeting that it was more like a conversation than an investigative tool. Very little was even discussed about the night Natalee Holloway went missing. Very little about the events that happened following her disappearance were discussed. However there was one very critical interchange between Jamie Skeeters and Deepak. Skeeters would make the statement to Deepak that he was sure Natalee Holloway had sex with all of the suspects that night. When Jamie Skeeters said this to Deepak, he clearly replied, "No, she didn't!" From those words, and the manipulation of those words a media frenzy would ensue. Perhaps no other single event in this two year saga of the Natalee Holloway case is as significant as the manipulation of Deepak's words.

Natalee Holloway, Dr. Phil & Deepak Kalpoe - 8

No event is more troubling than the manipulated Skeeters tapes that Dr. Phil showed on national television. This is still in litigation and hopefully the Kalpoes will win a settlement. by    Jan Brennan
