Mickey John speaks after release

With the release of the two security guards will come the shocking statement from Mickey John, that one of the three young men being detained, Deepak Kalpoe, lied to the police in his statement. Kalpoe told John, that they instead dropped the Dutch boy and Natalee off near the Marriott Hotel, located north of the Holiday Inn on the same beach area.

Because of this information, nearly three dozen police would launch an intense search on Tuesday near the Marriott Hotel. They would cordon off a three block area and do a search for the girl. Government spokesperson Ruben Trapenberg, would confirm that they were only following all leads as new information was emerging in the case.
