Suspects probed for murder in Aruba

Guards arrested in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, now being probed for murder investigation.

Guards held as accomplices to homicide & kidnapping

Chris Lejuez, the lawyer for the suspects would tell CNN that they are being held as accomplices to a homicide and kidnapping leading to homicide in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. These two security guards had worked at the Allegro Hotel located next to the Holiday Inn where Natalee and her friends had been staying. Attorney Lejuez will insist that her client is innocent and state that they had not been near that hotel at that hour of the day. At this point it seemed unclear as to whether charges would be brought against these two men.

Chris Lejuez speaks on this CBS report

The search for the missing teen remained ongoing. Police spokesperson Edwin Comencia said they had received over 200 tips and that searches were continuing all over the island. Dive teams were also searching the coastal waters.

An Aruban judge would rule on June 9, 2005 that there was enough evidence to continue holding Mickey John and Abraham Jones. Because of the intense media coverage already, this hearing that was supposed to be held in the courtroom was moved to a police station. There was already much political pressure involved in this case.
