Are the Parents of JonBenet and Natalee Holloway Dating?

JonBenet Ramsey's dad and Natalie Holloway's mom have struck up a romance, according to the New York Post. The two reportedly have established a bond due to the high publicity of each of their children's cases. The two have been seen kissing, hand holding and on dinner dates.

JonBenet, the 6-year-old beauty queen, was found murdered in her Boulder, Colo., home the day after Christmas in 1996. The entire nation watched the drama unfold in the media. Her parents were the center of much controversy when Boulder police questioned them. Jon Benet's mother, Patsy, died of cancer last summer.

Natalee Holloway, from Alabama, disappeared during a Spring Break trip to Aruba in 2005. Many allegations have surfaced as to what really happened to Natalee, several suspects have been questioned about her whereabouts. Beth Holloway Twitty filed for divorce from her husband, Natalee's step-father, in December 2006.

Ramsey and Twitty first met in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Nashville Speakers Bureau, where they were both been hired to speak at an event about their children. Reports say that since they met the two have been nearly inseparable. Fox News has reported the couple being openly affectionate in public; however, Ramsey denies that the two are dating.

The couple share the same attorney, Lin Wood, who issued this statement, "They met and shared a common interest in how both law enforcement and the media have dealt with them. They shared that and bonded." The attorney added comments about how the two had a lot in common with the loss of their children.

Twitty is 46. Ramsey is 63. They both plan to continue speaking publicly about their children in hopes that awareness is raised and possibly obtaining more clues to their children's respective cases. Some consider this match strange; others believe this the match is perfect for the two to help each other heal. Neither has publicly commented on the relationship other than a brief denial by Ramsey.
